Hello, Baby Asher! | In-Home Lifestyle Newborn Session

There's nothing quite like bringing home a brand new baby for the first time...all the excitement, newness, sleep deprivation, and wondering if all the little things baby does is "normal". I remember when we brought Sophie home almost 4 years ago, just sitting there watching her to make sure she was still breathing, not wanting to let her out of my sight, as if something bad was going to happen in the minute I took my eyes off of her. If you're a Momma, I'm sure you've been there, and maybe still have those moments (hello, phantom baby cries in the shower!). But this new journey of becoming a Momma for the first time is SO rewarding despite all the newness of raising a tiny human being.

I got the chance to photograph Josh and Bethany and their adorable little one-week old daughter, Asher Joy. And she was for sure a joy to photograph! It's always so nostalgic documenting the first moments of first time parents...the awe and wonder of gazing down at their baby, still in shock that he or she is here and already loved so much. Josh and Bethany wanted me to focus on more of the Lifestyle part of their newborn session in their home, and capture their little family as they are in this point in time-- documenting all the snuggles, kisses, and what it looks like to be a family of 3. Congratulations Josh and Bethany, Asher is so blessed to have such loving and devoted parents!
