It's hard to believe that I'm already thinking of Christmas card pictures! But sure enough, school is starting and fall will be here before we know it. Then shortly after that, it's time to decide which family picture makes it onto the yearly Christmas card. Some of you may be wondering, "What is a mini-session?", or "What is the difference between a mini-session and a regular family session?". Good question! As a photographer, I strive to provide my clients with photographs that best meet your needs at the time-- whether that be wanting a wide variety of updated family pictures to hang on the walls of your house, or just a few posed family pictures to use on a Christmas card. Whatever the occasion may be, I'd love to take your family's pictures and capture some genuine moments that you will cherish. Here is some information to help you decide which type of session is best for your family.
-Location is predetermined and allows me to hold multiple sessions in one day at the same place
-Sessions are limited to 20 minute time slots
-At least 10 high-resolution images sent in an online gallery
-Almost half the price of a full session!
-Focus is primarily on posed shots, with everyone looking at the camera smiling (typical "Christmas card picture"). I will do more natural, candid shots as time allows in your session.
-This is a great choice for families wanting updated pictures or a few possibilities for your Christmas card.
-YOU choose your location and date!
-Sessions usually last about an hour-- my style is very relaxed, so having a large amount of time allows us go at your family's pace, stop for snack breaks, and get a much wider variety of shots in (posed shots and also ones that capture your family's genuine connections)
-At least 40 high-resolution images sent in an online gallery
-I aim to hold these sessions during the "Golden Hour" (1.5 hours before sunset), which allows for the softest and most beautiful light
-This is a great choice if you haven't had family pictures taken in a while and want a large variety of shots (whole family, children, Mommy and Me, individual children, etc...)
-Here is an example of a full family session
